I'm a common sense educator with 40+ years of experience in early childhood education. For the past 20 years, I have coached hundreds of families in parenting classes, and am the director of an infant and toddler program in one of the most well-established schools in Southern California. I am a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and pride myself in staying current with the latest trends in early childhood education and behavior theories. I have also raised two socially conscious daughters who are now incredibly accomplished adults, and I am committed to supporting families in bringing harmony to their households.

Testimonials

Navigating the murky waters of parenting has been the most challenging experience of my life. When my wife and I were going through an especially difficult time with our daughter, Cheryl’s advice was a true compass of knowledge and assurance. Running a children’s center for (many) years, her understanding of the ebbs and flows of parenting, and how children develop, are second to none. One of the toughest parts of parenting is knowing what is “normal.” Cheryl helped us to feel less alone in our struggle, and gave us hope during a very arduous time. For that, we are forever grateful.

Cheryl is truly gifted in her ability to empower parents with the tools needed to help children reach their full potential. We were fortunate to find her five years ago when we needed help in correcting our preschooler's behavioral issues. We've sought Cheryl's advice many times since then. She's an amazing, compassionate listener and her questions have made me experience countless aha moments. The insights and behavioral strategies with which Cheryl equips us are remarkably effective. Her approach is multifaceted and has synergistic effects: empowered parents plus empowered child equals peace in our household! Nothing compares to the opportunity to talk one-on-one with Cheryl about a specific issue and all of its nuances. We are so grateful to her.

I have known Ms. Cheryl for more than 6 years. She has been a very important person in our family's life, not only as a friend, but as someone who I reach out to for any kind of issues with my kids. The first time I met Ms. Cheryl was when my oldest son was 2 and half years old. I was referred to the school she works in by a friend. I had had a very bad experience at a previous preschool, where they wanted to put my son in "time out" constantly because he would not sit still and was very active. I met Ms. Cheryl and I instantly knew I was at the right place for my son. She was relaxed, open, and told me, “he is a normal 2 year old, he is supposed to be active; he is a fun, curious kid.” I knew that I was in good hands. She has helped my family and me during many difficult moments and has always had the right answer. She knows kids, REALLY knows them, speaks their language and then is able to work with parents to help us understand, always giving us good advice, techniques, clear rules and focus. I really can’t thank her enough for always being there for my family and helping us out.
